About Me

Dr. Chacko graduated from the Maulana Azad Medical College in New Delhi. He then did a post-graduate diploma in Chest diseases and Tuberculosis in 1985 from the Patel Chest Institute in Delhi and then completed his MD in Internal Medicine from CMC Ludhiana in Punjab University in 1992. He has been actively involved in Internal Medicine and Chest Medicine for around 30 years in two of Delhi’s biggest private teaching hospitals where he mentored many postgraduates and was thesis guide in Internal Medicine and Chest related topics. He also worked as Specialist in Chest Diseases in the MOH, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from 1996 to 2001. He is a pioneer in fibreoptic bronchoscopy having introduced it in Delhi to many hospitals in 1989. Dr Chacko began a dedicated Sleep Diseases Laboratory in 2004 for which he was specially trained in Singapore. Has chaired sessions and spoken on various topics in CME in Internal Medicine and Chest Medicine all over the world. He is a member of the Association of Physicians of India, National College of Chest Physicians of India, Indian Medical Association and the American College of Physicians.
