About Me
Dr Prajob Prasad Geevarghese graduated with an MBBS degree from Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Memorial Medical College, Amravati, Maharashtra in 2009. He pursued his master’s in Medicine from Government Medical College Amritsar in 2011. Transitioning into the field, he served as a senior resident at Christian Medical College, Ludhiana, Punjab from 2014. Progressing in his career, he took on the role of assistant professor at the same institution, where he trained and educated both undergraduate and postgraduate students. During this period, Dr. Prajob developed a keen interest in gastroenterology, leading him to commence his gastroenterology residency at Government Medical College, Calicut, Kerala in 2016.
He enhanced his skills by undergoing training with renowned experts in the field, such as Dr. Rajesh Sainani, a renowned Gastroenterologist & Hepatologist at Jaslok Hospital & Research Centre, Mumbai for GI Motility Studies, and Dr. Sanjay Rajput at Ansh Clinic, Gujarat, India for ERCP training in Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopy. Prior to joining NMC, he served as a Specialist Gastroenterologist in a renowned hospital in Dubai.
Dr Prajob has successfully completed the European Specialty Examination in Gastroenterology and Hepatology, with a particular focus on GERD and bowel diseases. He is a proud member of the Indian Society of Gastroenterology and EASL, the European Association for the Study of the Liver.
His areas of expertise encompass the diagnosis and management of various conditions, including GERD, bowel-related diseases such as ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease, fatty liver, hepatitis, cirrhosis, Celiac disease, Eosinophilic Gastrointestinal Diseases (EGIDs), pancreatitis, and Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS).
