Dr. Prakash V Suranagi, MBBS, MS(Ophthalmology) is a Specialist Ophthalmologist in UAE since August 2016 with a total experience of over 22 years in the field of Ophthalmology. Dr. Prakash completed his Post Graduation from Government Medical College, Bellary, Karnataka, India. He passed Basic Science Assessment of International Council of Ophthalmology during 1998. He performed as an observer at Birmingham & Midland Eye center, UK during 1998 & 1999. He then completed General Ophthalmology fellowship from Bangalore West Lion’s Eye Hospital, India in the year 2000. After completing the fellowship, Dr Prakash completed the training on Laser training for Diabetic Retinopathy & Retinopathy of Prematurity from prestigious institutions from India, Aravind Eye Hospital, Madurai & L V Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad respectively. Dr Prakash also comes with an experience of 16 years working at Medical colleges in India & also served as Professor & HOD at the Dept of Ophthalmology. His areas of interest and expertise includes diagnosis & management of Retinal diseases which includes Diabetic Retinopathy, Peripheral Retinal degenerations , Retinopathy of Prematurity, glaucoma, cataract, eyelid & adnexa. Dr Prakash’s services includes Assessment of visual Acuity, Visual field by automated visual field analyser, Fundus Photography, Ultrasound B Scan, Indirect Ophthalmoscopy, OCT scan.
