Dr. Dhafr A. Mahmood is an accomplished Endocrinologist at NMC Medical Center, Buhairah, working in this field for 17+ years. He is a versatile doctor and is immensely passionate about Medicine. Dr. Dhafr is an MD, CABM, FRCP(UK), FACE (USA) and a Consultant A Internist and Endocrinologist/ Diabetologist at NMC Medical Center, Buhairah. He began his journey in medicine by being an Associate Professor of Internal Medicine – at Baghdad University and later he became an adjunct Associate Professor of Internal Medicine- at Sharjah University. After this, Dr. Dhafr served as a Consultant Internist and Endocrinologist in a major hospital in UAE before joining NMC. Dr. Dhafr has extensive clinical experience in managing consultation, initial diagnosis and treatment. His prime responsibilities were in diabetes management, Thyroid disease management and thyroid tumour and nodules, Male and Female infertility, Short Stature growth retardation and advances and puberty abnormalities and delay, Obesity, pituitary diseases and hyperprolactinemia, Adrenal gland disorders, Female Hirsute He has been an international and national speaker and lecturer and has published several reviews on Internal Medicine and Endocrine subjects. He has also published several papers on internal Medicine and Endocrinology topics in Iraq and the Emirates. He is a proud Investor in several local and international Diabetes trials.
