Dr. Soundara Rajan is one of the senior most Dermatologists in U.A.E. After his M.B.B.S. from Devangere Medical College (1974) he worked in Coimbatore Medical College hospital and Madras Medical College Hospital as Senior House Surgeon in the Department of Dermatology for 2 years. Then he completed his Diploma in Dermatology (1979) and MD Dermatology (1981) from the prestigious Madras Medical college. His teachers were the icons of Dermatology, Professor A. S. Thambiah and Professor Patric Yesudian, who were from St.Johns Institute of Dermatology, London. Starting his career in 1981 as Assistant Professor in the department of Dermatology in Tirunelveli Medical College, India, he travelled widely to work in various leading Government hospitals, Corporate hospitals in India and overseas hospitals in Libya and Saudi Arabia. With an experience of 26 years, he started to work as Specialist Dermatologist in various centres in Sharjah in Fujairah from 2006. Services offered at NMC Skin Department, Rolla, Sharjah are Treatment of all skin problems such as acne, allergic problems, various infections (bacterial, fungal and viral), corn, callosity, dandruff, eczema, hair fall, keloid, urticaria, vitiligo, xerosis, etc. Procedures done are Electrocautery for warts, corn, skin growths, molluscum contagiosum, allergic for black heads, white heads, milia, Intralesional steroid injections for keloid, vitiligo (localised), alopecia areata, hypertrophic lichen plants.
