About Me

Dr Shakkeel VEA is a seasoned family medicine specialist and diabetologist with over 20 years of extensive academic and clinical experience. He is adept at managing conditions across all age groups, including both adults and children, in various specialties such as General Medicine, ENT, Orthopedics, and Dermatology.

After his MD "Physician", Dr Shakkeel served as a resident in Internal Medicine for two years at Jubilee Mission Medical College Hospital in Thrissur, Kerala, India. He later pursued his DNB in Family Medicine from the same institution. Additionally, he earned his MRCGP (INT), a postgraduate degree from RCCP-UK and was awarded MNAMS in Family medicine from National Academy of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India. He also holds a PG Diploma in Family Medicine and a Fellowship in Diabetology from Christian Medical College, Vellore, Tamil Nadu, India.

His areas of special interest include:
• Management of lifestyle diseases, including diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia, and joint disorders
• Management of communicable and infectious diseases in both adults and children
• Clinical cardiology and gastroenterology
• Clinical management of conditions related to ENT, Orthopedics, and Dermatology
• Allergic and respiratory disorders
• Preventive health checks and immunizations

Dr Shakkeel has specialized expertise in caring for diabetic patients, particularly in managing complications such as diabetic neuropathy and diabetic foot conditions. During his 20 years of clinical experience, Dr Shakkeel spent 12 years working at Jubilee Mission Medical College, Thrissur, Kerala where he taught MBBS students and other allied specialty students as well.

Dr Shakkeel is fluent in English, Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, and Russian.
